Who’s The Boss? 10 Ways To Take Control Of Your Life!

Positive thinking allows us to focus on our strengths and accomplishments, which increases happiness and motivation. This, in turn, allows us to spend more time making progress, and less time feeling down and negative. Here’s 10 practical suggestions that you can use to help you shift into more positive thinking patterns and take control of your life:

1. Look After Number One:
Take good care of yourself first. It’s much easier to be positive when you’re eating well, exercising, and getting sufficient rest. You’ll feel good about yourself and your attitude will attract people and situations that bring along great opportunities.

2. Be Grateful:
You’ll have good days and you’ll have REALLY good days! There will be stressful times when things are challenging and difficult. But there is hope when you are constantly reminding yourself of the things that are right in life. Take a few minutes a day to pause and appreciate the good things that you have in your life.

3. Seek The Proof, Never Assume:
Your personal fears and inhibitions will try to lead you to assume what others are thinking of or planning to do. Peoples fears of looking or sounding stupid or uneducated or ignorant will stop them from getting real proof of a situation or an event. This is not a good way to live. Remember, the only stupid question is the one that you don’t ask.

You can’t know for sure what’s going on in another person’s mind or what they are thinking about. ASK AND BE SURE! Get the proof and then plan and react to that. Don’t waste time worrying unless you have proof that there is something to worry about.

4. Don’t Do Absolutes!
Only a Sith Lord deals in absolutes! Obi Wan Kenobi said that! Absolutes are finite and final, leaving no room for improvement, compromise, development, negotiation and co-operation.

I’m never wrong! It’s got to be done this way! You’re no use to me! This is the last time I’ll say this to you ! You’re a complete failure! I never want to see you again! You’ll come to regret it! Don’t contact me again! I won’t take your advice!

Thinking and speaking in absolutes makes the situation seem worse than it is, and compels you to believe that people are less dependable and incapable of delivering.

5. Think Positive:
You’re too good to dwell on negative thoughts! Your thoughts can’t hold any power over you if you don’t judge them. Everyone has negative thoughts now and then. If you notice yourself having a negative thought, detach from it, witness it but don’t follow it.

6. Step On The ANT:
Automatic Negative Thoughts. These bad thoughts are based on your personal fears and are usually reactionary such as “Those people are laughing, they must be talking about me,” or “The boss wants to see me? It must be bad!” These thoughts usually have no base in fact. Refer to Point 3 above again and seek proof.

7. Be Touchy Feely:
But only with people you know! Otherwise you could end up in an asylum.. or jail! You don’t have to be an expert to know the benefits of a good hug. Positive physical contact with friends and loved ones is a good pick-me-up.

In business and work conditions you can touch a colleague or partner sparingly to show connection, commitment and mutual alliance without invading their personal space and making them feel uncomfortable. One research study on this subject had a waitress touch some of her customers on the arm as she handed the bill over. She received higher tips from these customers than from the ones she didn’t touch!

8. Be Socially Active:
Not Facebook, not Twitter but with real human beings! By increasing your social activity, you banish loneliness and increase meaningful emotional and physical connections. Surround yourself with healthy, happy people, and their positive energy will affect you in a positive way!

9. Do Good Deeds:
Everyone feels good after helping someone else. You can volunteer your time, your money, or your resources to help your local community or the world at large. The more positive energy you put out into the world, the more you will receive in return.

10. Don’t Ruminate:
Rumination means to focus intensely on something negative. It’s never productive, because it’s not rational or solution oriented. It’s just excessive worry. If you find yourself worrying about things too much, interrupt the pattern and force yourself to do something completely different. Try changing your physical environment and thinking by going for a walk or go and see a movie. Or call a friend, read a book, or turn on some music.

Why You Need A Positive Attitude Today

Have you ever listened to the conversation that’s going on in your head right now? I’m going to ask you to do something that might sound weird. First, I want you to listen to the chatter that’s inside your mind right now. Now, what thoughts are filling your head? Are they positive thoughts or are they negative ones?

Second, as you go about your daily routine with these thoughts in your head, do you think anyone that you meet or talk to during the day would know what was going on in your mind?

Only you can know the answer to the first question. But the answer to the second question is pretty generic. Although people that you come across through the day won’t be able to tell exactly what you’re thinking about but they will instinctively have an idea of how you’re feeling.

Another thing to ponder: When you enter a room, do people fall silent as if something bad has happened or do they perk up and become more enthusiastic at your presence?

You have the answer to that question within you. It will depend on your frame of mind.

Thoughts are very powerful. Thoughts affect your general attitude. Your attitude reflects your levels of energy and enthusiasm and your overall appearance to the outside world. Your thoughts affect the way you are perceived by those around you.

And there’s more… Your attitude can also affect people who come into contact with you.

You determine what attitude you carry. It can be either positive or negative.

Positive thoughts have a filling effect. Positive thoughts are invigorating and inspiring. Your positive attitude will energise those people who are around you. A positive attitude will attract people to you and a positive mind will seek out the best in situations and opportunities.

A negative attitude will sap your own energy and drive people away. Where there are no people, there is usually no opportunities or progress.

Your attitude determines how you view the world too. If you have a negative preference, you’ll most likely focus on negative aspects of the world at large. However, if your attitude is positive, then the uplifting and inspirational aspects of life will appeal to you.

There’s so much to be gained with a positive attitude. Studies have shown that a positive attitude is better for health and healing. You’ll find that you can handle stress and illness and life’s general ups and downs much better with a positive attitude. People respond to a positive attitude and are drawn to someone who displays this characteristic.

Attitude starts with a good self-image. If you have good self-esteem and are assured, satisfied, and confident, you’ll make those around you feel relaxed and comfortable. You’ll make people feel good.

With a negative attitude, you’ll feel bad about yourself and you’ll also make anyone around you feel bad too!

Get a positive attitude by focusing on good healthy thoughts. Think about the nice things that you’ve done or the great things that you’re going to do. Watch a comedy, as laughter is always magic! Spend time with your family or your kids, or your mom and dad. Do more of the things that you enjoy and appreciate. This will stimulate positive emotions which will lead to a strong positive attitude.

It’s impossible to eliminate negative thoughts completely but if you feel a negative thought creeping in just mentally re-focus on a time, a place, a situation or a person that made you happy and feel good.

Remember too, that life has many moments when sadness, anger and hopelessness will be felt. There’s a time to mourn and reflect. Let the natural healing process take its course but try not to dwell on these times for too long.

When you are beset by problems from every angle and trouble is all around, and you feel helpless and lost, focus on the good things in life and the good things that happened to you. Remember that there is always hope. When you have hope, problems can be overcome and resolved.

Hope comes from a positive attitude, so start today, right now, by thinking about positive things and get your attitude right.

7 Ways To Write Killer Headlines. Do This Right To Make Money!

Why is that some sites draw in huge amounts of sales and shower the owner with cash and wealth while other sites struggle to get visitors and barely make a penny?

The Internet is the most powerful selling medium but you have just a few seconds in which to make your point or your visitor will click elsewhere. You don’t want that!

Headlines that don’t draw the customer in or capture their curiosity are not performing and are costing you sales. Sales is money. Money is the difference between success and failure.

2. Be Concise. Make your main headline short and sweet. Get to the point using 5 to 7 words. You just want to get their attention. You can sell once you have their attention and they are attracted to reading further or use a sub-headline.

3. Be Clear. Say what you mean. Don’t be vague. Let the reader know exactly what you are talking about from the start.

4. Ask A Question. Asking a question in the headline draws attention. Make sure it’s a question that you are going to answer or provide the solution to either in your main piece or with your product or service.

5. Ways, Steps, Reasons. If the solution that you’re offering has a number of steps or variations, then mention that in your headline: 5 Ways To Get A Date or 7 Steps To Self-Confidence or Five Reasons To Succeed. Get my drift?

6. Reveal The Price. If you have a price that you think is competitive against the competition and appeals to the buyer, then that is worth mentioning. Something like: Hair Loss Solution For Under $99! or The Best Way To Lose Weight For Less Than $29!

7. Time. If your product produces results within a certain time-frame you should mention this too. How about: Get Great Abs In 30 Days! or 7 Days To Brighter Teeth!
