If You Want To Become The King, Take Massive Action Today
Or How David Miliband Screwed Up His Political Career.
It’s quite likely, no, quite expected, that David Miliband will quit front-line politics today in the wake of losing the race to be the new leader of the Labour Party to Mrs Miliband’s other son, his beloved brother Edward Miliband.
Do you think David Miliband is a tosser?
It could have been so different. During the limp, lackluster, luke-warm premiership of Gordon Brown there were moments when had David Miliband taken action, as most expected he would, he would now be leader of the Labour Party.
But he failed to act, he failed to take the initiative, he looked the other way. He had no balls!
Gordon Brown was politically damaged in so many ways that Miliband could have secured the top spot with a concerted effort at a number of events during Brown’s last days. Yet he failed to grow some balls… or he was very badly advised… or both!
Today he’s a nobody, a has-been, his promising political future remains unfulfilled and half baked.
The difference between a politician and a prostitute is that they’ll both screw you for money but the prostitute has the decency to tell you first!
David Miliband’s situation highlights the very essence of success and failure and the ONE aspect that is crucial to making good in any area of your life… ACTION.
The ability to take action in pursuit of a goal or a purpose or an aim is the most important factor in your life. You can have the best product, the best procedures, the best staff, the best systems and yet, if you take no action nothing will happen. You do nothing so you get nothing!
If you want to get fit you’ve got to take action to modify your diet and start an exercise regime. If you want to make money, start a business or create a service or product to promote and sell.
You must take action and seize each opportunity as it presents itself… or else you’ll just be one of millions of David Milibands.
